congratulations to juniors!!u all got 2nd in the zonals.good job people. is not the result that matter, is the process of getting it and u all played real well.51 to 0!!broke our record:) hmm. don't worry about nygh match anymore.train more and prepare for nationals.you all are great:)
sec 4s!!!we miss u all. haha. jiayou for all the tests and exams and and...haha. jiayou in whatever that comes along the way:)

hurricanes oei!!!

wow... been so long since i posted and the last post i saw was abt tht farewell. hmm.. rain helped us much... we are still tgt.. aint over yet.. =DD at least u all get to join the bluejays... i dont... my mum wont let and i am too lousy anw...

but tht's not the whole point of the post. i am not gonna complain abt not being able to train with u guys anymore cos my mum is depriving me of tht side of my leisure and passion. i just wanna sae to everyone on the team tht i love u guys and i cant bear to go and i promise u... no matter how much my mum hates me to come back on the team... I WILL BE BACK.

hurricanes have been the bestest part of my nan hua life. my joys, my tears, my smiles, my sorrow... my everything has been growing tgt with hurricanes... only hurricanes have seen how i have changed throughout all 4 years in the team. i cannot say how happy and glad and grateful i am to be on this team tgt with u guys. my life in hurricanes have been in my mind and will alw stay there.

i rmb most of the sec 4s were forced to join softball when we were in sec 1... us.. being the cute innocent little sec 1s joined without saying anything... lolx... but i am glad we did. i am glad we did cos we became the hurricanes sigui family and we met daddy and coach... and now with aunty bird and coach jiamin and ms saw and mrs choong... we dominate the field.

i rmb in sec 2 when i was made the official first choice pitcher. i noe i aint tht good, but i was proud of myself all the same. i was proud of myself and proud of the team when we defeated nygh and won the zone champions. we are all growing.. growing tgt as a family.

i rmb in sec 3 when i lapsed into tht long period of depression... isolating myself from everyone else. for wht reason, i cant yet tell. but i noe tht it has alw u guys being ard with me... i was stressed, because i noe tht i am lagging behind. i cant tell the rest of u are catching up. i am happy for u guys, but somehow i cant bring it across to u ppl. i was selfish and cared for my own feelings. i am really sorry if wht i said hurt u guys.. i nv meant to. i nv will have the intention to do tht.

this year... i got benched most of the time. for the first time in nan hua life, i nv particularly enjoy the whole competition. half the time i was on the bench, feeling lousy and tht i wanna help the team to win on the field and yet i cant do anything cos i am not even in the diamond...

the last match is tmr... half of me want the match to finish asap... the other half of me stringly wishes tht it will never be over. i want our hurricanes to be tgt 4eva and eva and eva. i want to be on the team. i want to be back on the diamond. suddenly, i have a thousand and one thigns i wanna learn abt softball... i wanna learn to play in the positions i have yet had the chance to play in. i wanna play and learn as much as i can... but the time just doesnt allow me to do tht.

i am sure the happy memories will alw be carved inside our hearts. we will alw rmb each other alw... we will still see each other in school, wont we? i love u guys. *hugs*

nationals.final.

tml is like the final match that we play with you all. for the past four years, i've grown up being in the team.i've learnt what is teamwork,i've learnt how to work with the team and how to maintain team spirit and everything. its superbly sad that tml will be our last match playing for the hurricanes alr. its like i haven even have enough fun with the team yet. i wish i can stay on and play forever. even though we will still go back for training, but the feeling is not the same anymore. it's like we're going to train for leisure, not for competition, not for training for our common goal. no doubt, we will go back to help you all and train for next year, but you guys must zhengqi too, don't keeping letting the seniors down, esp the next batch of juniors. its up to you all to fufil our dreams. i really hope to hear good news from you all next year, getting back our gold medal plus the bonus nationals medal. train hard, don't let us, coach, ms saw and mrs choong down.

sec4s ; this four years being with you guys have been the best times of my life. i never regret knowing you all. i have learnt alot of from you guys and thank you for being there for me when i needed that listening ear. you guys really rawk. its really upset to know that four years of teammates life is over officially tml. but no matter what, you guys are always the best teammates i ever had. although some of us will be playing for src, but the feeling isn't the same playing with you all. let's all jiayou for our o's and after that, we shall return back to the field. promis me we will won't you?

sec3s, sec2s n sec1s ; like i've said, train hard and jiayou. i will always miss you all de. get back all our medals and make sure the other teams rmbed the day they played the hurricanes, just like how we rmb the day we played GM. LOL

to the sec4s : our last year le. like what evey says, we missed our chance last year, thanks to?! you know i know lahh. LOL but this year its different. we've even conquered SRC, something which we've never managed to do so. so why get the SRC PLASTIC and miss this NATIONALS METAL?! we shall get that metal okay?! of cos champion is our goal, but just win all our games first then we think abt the metal. TK, NANYANG, GM, here the hurricanes come. we've gotten back all our form like how the quadratic curve works. this time, we're gonna hit like you've never seen us hit before.

to the sec 3s : you guys may have one more year to go, but don't give up any chance that comes along okay?! let us, the bdiv do well together and win this medal together okay?! JIAYOU! (: although many of you didn't get a chance to play this time, but don't worry, you are still important to the team okay?!

to the sec2s : congrates on winning SRC, though you guys won 3rdbut then again, we didn't even manage a 3rd when we were in sec2. so you guys are very li hai le. the most li hai thing next wud be to grab your zonals gold back for us. the seniors have lost it, but you guys will get it back for us right?! haha.

Yep. An update for highlights of our camp. It is not confirmed yet though, but this is the result of my discussion with Angela and Cecilia.

3 Days 2 nights
Date: 28-30 November 2005 ( Mon, Tue, Wed)
Venue: School

We will have intensive training on the first day, this depends on Coach, and there will be team building games like Trust Fall, etc. We are still thinking of more games to play so we welcome ideas from you guys. You can message me to tell me about your ideas. The more the better.
We also have this game called "Water Badminton". Want to play? Then make sure you will be there at the camp! Our aim is to build a closer bond and understanding between seniors and juniors as well as to remind ourselves of our expectations in the year 2006 and the following years to come. We will also have interesting night activities such as "Hide and Seek" and "Crime Scene". I assure you that this camp will not be like the other camps that we have attended, with the instructors shouting at you, rushing you all that sort of stuff. However, keep in mind that we also have some rules to follow as we do not want the neighbours to complain about us. So, in order to ensure that this camp is a success, please be enthusiastically involved in the activities and give us suggestions asap so that we can submit a proposal to Miss Yeo. I'm here again.

There will be a softball camp somewhere in late November. Angela, Cec and I will be discussing about it and we will inform the rest of you guys when we are done.
Hmm... there are some things that have to be done to improve ourselves both physically and mentally as well as the bond between us all. I will think about it and get back to you all at a later date as well.
By the way, I'm thinking of giving our sec 4 seniors some farewell gifts and would like some ideas so that we can discuss about it. ASAP okay?

It's been like don't know how many months ever since I last updated here and surprisingly, I can still remember the username and password.
Okay, cut the crap.
End of year is over so we can train again!
I know I am currently like off the track due to the fact that i have been missing training cause of my knee and then the eoy, but i will get back, i promise. Now that I am no longer a councillor, i will have more time to concentrate on the more important things as well.
Our sec four seniors will be having their o level soon. In fact, their practical exam has already started. So wish them all the best in all their papers. Jia You!!
Then it will be the us, the sec threes turn to prepare for ours next year. And our beloved school has carefully planned our remedial schedule.
I guess it is time for us to like catch up with one another, to build up the team spirit again. So maybe we can like find some time to play together or something.
We're gonna beat Nanyang again and show GMS that they're just tyco this year. =D

i thought it seemed like a good time for me to update today. and its like exactly 2 pathetic months since the last update. well anyway, today is a day to be remembered. its like mr chng's last day with us bah. i hope you're reading this mr chng. i hope you will read this blog as often as you can. i hope everyone will update as often as they can. cos other than smsing him, this will be our only way of communication with him. i hope you will read all of our blogs. that is to say, me, yubing's, annabel's melinda's ziyi's yixin's yah. i think days will really change without him. no teacher can be so commited towards softball. you said: no one is irreplacable" i tell you something, you may be replaceable to the school. but to the team, you are irreplaceable. if it weren't for you, we wouldn't have been here together. fate brought us together. fate arranged for us to know each other and play the game of softball. you gave up so much for us, and yet time again we disappoint you. you scream, you nag, you scold, you make snide remarks but we all know its for our good. if it werent for you, we wouldn't have acheived what we have today. although its only a trival achievement to the school, but to us, its a breakthrough. i wanna say im sorry for all those dislike feelings i had in the past towards you. i even felt that you dislike me and is always unfair to me. i never knew how much you cared abt me. and now, i know. and im guilty. i feel sad that you'll be leaving us, but you're not leaving us for good. i hope you'll still come back to visit us and also go to our sunday matches. i think with you there, there will be a source of motivation for us to play well so that we wun be screamed by you LOL. yah but anyway, the team will never forget you. you're always our daddy. the one that we can rely on. its time for us to be independent. but you'll always be rememberd. see ya daddy!!

hmm.. our juniors got 2nd for their zones yeaa? hehex... congratualtions.. hmm... can see tht some of u guyys are quite upset over losing to nanyang.. cos some were crying.. some were not speaking.. some looked anything beside yourselves... but look at the bright side!!! u guys got second. so what? u guys still have ur nationals to work on.. concentrate on ur nationals now.. train seriously.. put in all ur effort... u have ur seniors' support... jiayouxx!

as for the b div.. we still have our league. league will be tough.. but it will be where we gain all of our experiences and have a tough game with everyone else in singapore. the more experience we get, the more professional we become yeaa? hehex.. forget abt the loss we have made.. let's move on to the next step. we will make it to the top 4 of the nationals some dae.. and tht dae will come soon, i hope.. very soon...

Hey peeps.
It's me.
I know I have been pmsing the whole of last week.
Sorry about that.
Now, I am glad i am back to normal.
And i know my fellow sec 3s are glad too.
=P
yup.
So I know I have not been doing my job as v-cap well.
And there are times that when angela needs my assistance and i am not around.
Guess i am somewhere slacking.
Really apologise for not showing good examples to juniors and peers.
So, i wrote this entry to tell you all that.
The normal ME is back!!
I will do my job well and i hope that my teammates will show support and trust towards me.
I really needed that.
I welcome all your advice and comments if you have any so that i know in what ways that i need to improve.
So, if you all have anything to say, please feel free to approach me ya? SmS, Msn, email, whatever...
Then i just want to let you all know that if you all ever need anyone to listen to your troubles, or just want a shoulder or whatever, you have my number to call you know... anytime, anywhere if you need me, u have my no, it's a 24 hour hotline yeahs??

hi..we lost the tkgs match.. never in my nan hua life i cried so hard. i think my pitching sucks tht dae yeaa? i didnt get to bat... i think we let coach and mr chng down when we lost. all of us were disappointed. but we played our best yeaa? the score is 3 to 6. i dont noe why.. i thinkk i suck tht day. i dont ever want tht game to happen again. i want to forget it. i want to thinkk tht it's all a bad dream and tht i will wake up to find tht i havent played yet. i wanna win tht match. cos ppl.. we can actualli do it. i wanna win GM too..

tht's the end of our journey to national champs this year le. it's just a dead end we hit down the road. we will take a detour back and find another route to our victory. but tht will be next year, when our seniors wont be with us anymore. thinkin' of it.. i already miss them le. i dun wan them to leave. i'm already missin' u guyys. and just thinkin' tht u guyys are gonna leave makes me wanna cry. and we are ever so uncertain whether our 'mother' will leave us too... i dun care whether she want us as her daughters.. but to us.. she's already our 'mother'. she's spent 3 years with us. she's been braving through our storms with us. and even other ppl sae it's lucky for us to have such a patient and understanding coach with us. i dun want her to leave either. let's train harder this year and in the future to do her proud. let's try and persuade for her to stay. let's not allow the school to let her go. no.. we wont have tht. let's make her stay.

our journey will continue next year. and we will train to win TKGS next year. we will try our best in EVERY match. we will ensure perfection in every match. we will get into the next round of nationals the next year. perhaps we will get the top 8 or even the top 4. we will work together. hurricanes.. we are gonna do it.. we will make the other teams in singapore to remember 'HURRICANES' forever. it's the team they are gonna remember.. we will make history in those teams.. beat them all.. peicai, GM, tk... it's up to us whether we beat them now. jiayouxx ppl!

that fateful day.24/03/05,thursday,when we met with our first defeat so far.the very fact is,i couldnt take it.i couldnt take it tt we lost not becoz we are lousy or weak but becoz we were so darn demoralised,so out of form.i admit that i was the reason that led to our failure.we are actaully equal or in fact BETTER than them in terms of our skills.we jus lack that morale to truely release our hidden talents.i reli regretted of losing my cool so easily.it`s only a knee guard we could always borrow from the other team so why am i making a big fat fuss abt it?why did i become so darn demoralised becoz of one knee guard?

im the catcher and it is my responsiblilty to assure that i brought all my equipment.however,i need help too.why did i jolly well forget to bring the bloody knee guard?i reli haf no idea.at that moment when i realised we missed that,my mindset was totally off.i already believed that i couldnt perform and i would play very badly.but if at that time somebody just pull me aside and tell me that this is not the end of world,i might jus be able to perform again.i dunno.i jus could not control my temper and i think it`s the biggest fault in me.im truely sorry for being such a bitch that day and it made us fall so badly.sighs.

but these two days,i thought a lot.if we never resolve this problem within ourselves,it will certainly break us.so im organising a meeting on MONDAY,28/03/05, AT 12:30PM OUTSIDE THE PE STORE FOR ALL SEC3 AND SEC4.PLEASE BE THRER ON TIME!thanks.

went thru some entries in this blog and have a sudden bombardment of feelings. i felt like i'm catapulted thru time, back to the time when we watched ' rmbr the titans '. right. so we defeated the purpose of watching it. we let coach down, we let mr chng down, we let ourselves down. we forgot all about the perfection. yes, i admit i was one of those who were in a daze and just screw inside out during the game. the very first ball of the game came to me and i don't know what happen to me. perhaps i suffered a mental blockage or smth. bet y'all saw me stood rooted to the ground and my reaction time was a million seconds.

nonetheless, after all the talks, all the reprimandation and whatever else, we'll still continue believin' in ourselves right? c'mon, all the sec 4s are leaving this year. it's just gonna be a few more months? and we wont be around to help out, to train with you guys anymore. it's our last chance in the nationals to play together as a team and to stand united. hence, we have to fulfil our responsibility, do our part for the team. rigght, so our next match is against ntss and tks. we'll do it. we must do all we can to keep coach and mr chng so our juniors would be in better care too yar?

heyy sb babiess. this is my firss time posting in this blog. guess all of us haf much to say yeaa?

hmm. no doubt we screwed the gms game madlyy. but i guess all of us haf a part to play baa. we din lose becuss cec missed the catch. neither did we lose becus eve missed the hit. so stop reprimandingg urselves gerss! let's forget bout the whole thingg and move on k? we lost cus all of us werent on-form ytdd. it was quite obvious isnt it? we got screwed by chngg even before the match startedd. from e look on everybody's face i knew smth was very wrong le. hmm. u guyss got to noe tt wad's done cannot be undone yaa.

it brought upon me tt we really defeated chngg's purpose of letting us watch 'rmb the titans'. so much for makin the effort. it kinda hurts to see him so disappointedd. and our coach too. if i were her i'd probably be thinking, 'wad a birthdayy'.

ok let's get back to e pointt. hmm. i wan to share my experience from band wid u guyss. rmb two yrss back mr chngg was oso a band teacher? on the same yearr we took part in e syf and got a silver. silver seems nice to me. but apparentlyy the sch expects smth much better. and there goes our conductor and teacher i/cs. everythingg changed drastically aft they left lo. as much as i don wan to say it. but band pracss really suck now. there isnt much to see to every prac. unlike last time. its obvious we don like the new conductorr and of cuss the new teacher i/cs. becus they are new, the bond is not there yet. they don gif a damn about the band as much as the former ones do. but there's nth much we can do yeaa? ms yeo decides wad she thinkss is best for u. so if the professions they hire arent showin good resultss. they jus hafta leave. and compare the seniorss who came back to visit us two yrs back and now. when asked den they would say, "we come back see who? the conductor and teachers dou go le". so since the upper sec members are more affected as they are the ones who lost wad they used to haf, our attendance was horribleee. trust me. it's really badd.

i hope you guys get my point yeaa? the team wil very much end up like this if we don do anythingg bout it. let's jus take it tt this doesnt really affect the sec 4s cus we wun be here to train wid u guys aft the nationals anywayy. its the sec 3s and 2s i'm worried about yaa. we all love the sb familyy don we. chngg is like our 'father', coach is our 'mother' and we're their children. how would u guys like it if we haf a new father and mother? if this happens den u ppl wun enjoy sb anymore lo. i can feel the bond between us noww eventhough the b-team is like two diff teams. but at least we no longer discriminate each other like we used to horr? its pretty sad to leave the team esp since we're the pioneer batch. i cant imagine wad the team would be like without coach and chngg and the sec 4s lo. haiss. tt's how scary it is.

i sincerely hope this msg would get to all of u yaa. esp e sec 3s cus all would be urss when the sec 4s leave. and its like in jus a few weeks time? it seems like e future of our team is in the b-gerss' hands. so i guess e oni thing we can do now is to play hard against nts and tkgs. its not oni about winning the titles now lo. its more like we play becus we wan our coach to stay and oso becus we don wan two mdm sias as our teacher i/cs. my englishh really suckss ya. but i hope u guys can get my point! we've got new responsibilitiess now.

we all noe our new goals le. so let's work towards it kk. forget bout the zone championship, they don mean anythingg if we don move on; forget bout the last two matches we played in the nationals, cus seriously, they arent really smth to be proud of. c'mon guyss. let's jus take it tt we're doing coach a favour to keep her job baa. and for uncle chngg who brought us together. and for our juniorss who likes them as much as we do. we'll fight our way thru the nationals wun we?

heyoz people... this is a compo that i wrote for my tuition lahz... about Athens 2004, about true sportsmanship and stuff.. so i thought of updating this in the blog..

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in the National Day Rally, " Sports isn't just medals. It's doing our best, trying again, overcoming setbacks, depending on each other, being part of Team Singapore."

Although table tennis player Li Jia Wei's defeat ends our adventure in the Athens Olympic, it also marks the beginning of a road filled with promise and opportunities. Our progress throughout the years pose new hopes and dreams. Winning an olympic medal is no longer a dream for Singaporeans. Awaiting our athletes to bring home an Olympic medal from Beijing four years from now is a great possibility. Then again, in sports, it can be anybody's game. The first is not always the best. Competitors all over the world are getting better, tougher, more difficult to deal with and more hungry for success. There will always be room for improvement and only those who have the will to learn and constantly improving themselves will succeed. One victory must never leave an athlete in contention. Sports is not just about winning medals. It is what you have gained and learnt from the game. The process is more important then the result. Every effort that we put in counts, for every point that we score can mean victory over our opponents.

Sports is about both mental and physical ability. Having confidence in yourself before the game is a half battle won. However, too much self-confidence brings harm. Every opponent is important. We must not enter the game being sure of winning. Anything can happen during a game. Overcoming our mental barrier is a very difficult task. In sports, every effort that we put in will pay off. Always depending on luck will never be enough.

Overcoming setbacks are important as well. It does not matter even if we fail, as long as we have the will to stand up again. Facing tough opponents is hard but we should not give up easily. A true sports person will persevere till the end and even if they fail, they accept reality as it is. One must fall to climb higher. Failure is the mother of success. Failures are blessings in disguise.

The tremendous knowledge that we gained from experiences is not something the teachers in school can offer. It is a personal feeling and an individual lesson that each athlete faces.

Every athlete harbours the hope and intention of winning whenever they take part in competitions, but only through determinationa and unwavering fighting spirit that will soar us to greater heights.

Sports is not about the triumph or the setbacks, but the process and the mindset. I am glad that i made mistakes, because if not, I will not know how to put them right.

hmm... im gonna say something very touching.. hope it will warms all ur hearts.. hahaz.. im so so so so lame..
our team de people, i think now more harmonious le.. we get along better now.. which is very good.. but we still need some bonding bahz.. after end year we have an outing can? then can mix together and do some stuff...
i dunno how u all feel la.. but before i join sb.. i have never felt this way before. I felt so happy, so relax, so everything good when i'm with u all lor.. no pressure or wadsoever.. from strangers, we were all linked together by an invisible string.. became friends, then became good buddies.. standing with u all on the field, whether we are having training or having a match, i feel so free worz.. softball make me forget all my troubles, all the boring lessons and softball is what i always look forward to everyday.. until now, although i've gone thru all this for almost two years already, the feeling is still the same.. softball is not only a cca to me, it has become a part of my life.. it brings joy, brings laughter, brings excitement.. thru softball, i met some wonderful people and i really become more cheerful bahz.. thru softball, i also learn about quite a lot of things.. and made me discover many different things that i have never experienced before in my life..* are u all crying now?* LoL.. hahaz..just kidding only.. so yea.. guess all this shows that i'm really serious about softball bahz.. yep..guess i'll stop here.. coz i want to watch singapore idol.. i hate that david de cruz lor.. chao action de.. take care people! ;)

i sorta missed the trainings on saturdae... feelin' weird if there's no training and i keep thinking it's sunday. haha... nationals is over le... so kinda missed the matched and everything. haha... its kinda fun lo.. and i was like thinking of a friendly match in our school against FTP yea? we nv got to play with them.. not fated to, maybe? haha... and i want to play TKGS again too... i wanna play till we win... haha... nothing is impossible right? heex... right now don feel like pitching. i think the new way of pitching sucks... my balls all go wild... haha. i still like the old method... but haix... gotta try right? haha... bel they all gotta suffer nxt year le.. hee hee...

hey people..its' me lahzz..
many things have been going on lately.. all of us back to our own busy schedule after the nationals.. yea..so i might look as if nothing is wrong lahz..but actually, i really feel kinda disappointed lor.. and this time..i don't know..maybe competition tougher or what lor..but our spirit during the zonal tournament is much better i guess..so anyway..no use crying over spilt milk..
next year b div le.. yea..can combine with the seniors..so i think we make a stronger team if all of us combine together huh? lol..i really look forward to it.. must build rapport now... hahaz... so at least now we mix around more...so next year we work hard together yea? competition will definitely be tough..but hey..don't play around with the [the hurricanes] hor..we blow u away then u know..hahaz
for the sec 2s..it's time to put in more attention in studies..yea..time flies..after all the fun that we had..what all of us had gone through together... src tournament, softball camp,zonal,nationals.. there's more to come! so i hope next year can get into the same class with any of you lor.. it'll be fun! hahaz..so guess i'll stop here bahz..see ya all and take care!
